How does Apostrophe work?

Apostrophe is a telehealth service that provides access to medical care for skin concerns like acne, rosacea, melasma, and more. All patients receive initial treatment plans crafted by expert dermatologists and can get their prescriptions delivered directly to their homes through our affiliate pharmacies.

To get started with Apostrophe, you’ll be prompted to create an account and complete an online consultation form. This medical assessment will require you to submit information about your skin concerns, medical history, and photos of your skin. From here, a board-certified dermatologist will evaluate your medical assessment and create your first customized treatment plan.

Depending on the state you live in, your consultation may be performed asynchronously. This means that your dermatology provider will provide treatment recommendations directly through your secure patient account. You can expect to receive your treatment plan within 48 hours after submitting your consultation form and photos. If you have any questions, you’ll be able to send your dermatology provider questions through your secure patient account.

In certain states, you will be required to have a video visit with a medical provider. If you live in one of these states, you will be prompted to make an appointment for a video visit after submitting your consultation form and photos. Video visits will be conducted by a board-certified dermatologist or an expert healthcare provider. If your video visit is conducted by an expert provider, a board-certified dermatologist will create your first treatment plan based on your consultation form. They will then provide these recommendations to your designated provider for your video visit.

Once your visit has been completed, whether asynchronously or by video, you will be able to purchase your treatment plan (if prescribed) within your patient dashboard.
