Is ’Screen reef safe?

Many people believe that chemical sunscreen filters cause damage to coral reefs. However, in studies done on sunscreen's effect on coral, sunscreens were exposed to coral in concentrations much higher than those found in the vast majority of the environment. There is limited real-world data to support that sunscreen is a cause of coral bleaching. We believe more research is needed to make conclusive claims on if sunscreen truly damages coral reefs.
